I'd like to see more tools to allow grouping blocks and treating them in some more automatic manner. I don't know if this is a practical method. So you might make all the captions for speaker one in block one, and the other speaker block two. Then I selected the second, moved it to the bottom right, changed the text color, and added a background. So I selected the first (original) block, and moved it to the left bottom grid setting. You can select each separately in the Essential Graphics Panel, and apply different settings. They are both at the same timecode range. Once the second block is created, they share the same settings, so overlap each other. Right click on a caption in the Text Panel and you get a drop down that includes "Add new text block to caption.": Caption Blocks are not documented (yet), but this is what staff have said and/or I have concluded from my tests. Note that a Caption Track "Style" applies to all captions/segments/blocks in a track, and so if you apply a style, they will all get the same treatment. A caption block can have the same, or different position, text color, background, etc. The Blocks in that segment all appear for the same time.Ī caption BLOCK is one or more text objects in a caption segment. But you can have only one segment in a timecode. In that segment, you can have one or more caption blocks. The terms used: a caption SEGMENT is what we ordinarily call a single caption, and it occurs in the range of a beginning and ending timecode. What you want is ONE track, ONE caption SEGMENT, and TWO caption BLOCKS in that one segment. Use #createdWithSubMachine to get featured on our social pages.I wonder if you are still working with two TRACKS, and not with one TRACK.

Here's an FAQ doc with some answers to the most commonly asked questions.

That means you can use it on one work and one personal Adobe ID. Each SubMachine license is for use by one, single user. SubMachine is locked to the two initial Adobe IDs you use it with.

Some fonts do not work well with some languages when it comes to special characters so it's worth bearing this in mind too. If you'd like me to runs some tests on an SRT in your language send an email to the address listed below with an example SRT file and I'll get back you as soon as possible. So far we have tested Hebrew, Vietnamese and Danish SRT files, all with success. Whilst SubMachine has predominantly been tested in English it does appear to work with SRT files in other languages too. Notice the in and out points and adjust them according to the video.

Now, hit on the Plus button in order to bring the fresh text box. This is a top priority so hopefully it will be solved soon! Changing your OS language and Adobe app languages to English does appear to allow SubMachine to work but is obviously far from ideal! Using the Caption panel (can be found in Window menu by selecting Captions ), add the text, time and format the text. I am currently working on making SubMachine compatible with OSs and Adobe apps not running natively in English. You can then export the mogrts in the frame rates you require. Mogrts can be manually downgraded by opening them in After Effects and using the "Save Copy As XX.X" command to open the mogrt in a previous version of After Effects. I am currently working to create and include mogrts for as many previous Adobe versions as possible. Mogrts compatible with Premiere Pro 20 in English are included. Some users have had issues with some other OS languages but it hasn't been consistent.
